Our Bathroom Project – One year on

A year since our last blog post and where has the time gone!? Our bathroom is, of course, finished. When people now ask ‘what is your bathroom like?’ its my pleasure to show them!

As you can see by the photos we opted for a cool grey colour palette and some of our most beautiful pieces. We wanted a modern look, yet something timeless and elegant. The clean lines, plenty of storage and maximum use of space makes it the perfect bathroom for us.

It is exactly how we pictured it. All of our bits and bobs are neatly tidied away into two large cabinets (Dansani). Our beautiful bath (Waters of Ashbourne) is a far better, more manageable size and gives us more floorspace, as well as somewhere for our gorgeous 8 month old granddaughter to splash around in! The walk in shower (Hansgrohe) is a perfect size and we have the option of an overhead drencher or a handheld body spray. Out with the old jacuzzi jets and steam shower system and in with the new simple, sleek, top quality products; making our hectic life that bit easier when it comes to the cleaning especially! The tiles (Capital Tiles) are from the ‘Moonland Range’; they help the bathroom flow, we opted for a textured feature tile on the wall behind the sink and behind the toilet and bidet. The subtle change in the pattern on the tile adds dimension and an area of interest. Finer details like our feature mosaic tiles in the recesses that are lit with small spotlights create a lovely effect. We have ticked all our boxes and now anything from a long hot bath to a quick morning shower is as enjoyable as we imagined!
